Reclaiming Yourself
The Alchemy of Emotion: Reclaiming Yourself
I recently had the honor of speaking with Amb. Elisha for a heartfelt conversation about emotional balance, self-discovery, and the journey of returning to who we truly are beneath conditioning and expectation.
In this episode, I share the personal experiences that shaped both my life and my work as an Emotional Balance Coach — from moving across three countries and raising children far from my roots to navigating identity shifts, cultural transitions, and grief. While yoga and Ayurveda helped me stay grounded through many seasons of life, it was the passing of my mother ten years ago that became a profound turning point.
During that period, I realized how much of my life had been spent trying to meet the expectations of others while disconnecting from my own inner world. Through grief, self-inquiry, and body awareness, I began to understand that emotions are not obstacles to suppress, but invitations to reconnect with ourselves more honestly and compassionately.
Together, Amb. Elisha and I explored how emotional overwhelm often comes from resisting what we feel, and how practices such as breathwork, movement, meditation, and journaling can help us return to a deeper sense of wholeness and presence.
In This Conversation, We Explore:
Why emotions are messages rather than problems to fix
How yoga, breath, and self-inquiry support emotional balance
Practical ways to navigate stress and overwhelm in daily life
The connection between emotional awareness and authentic living
How curiosity toward our inner world can create healing and transformation
This conversation is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and begin peeling back the layers of conditioning to reconnect with the person you truly are.
